I believe much of therapy is a journey of coming home to one’s truest self, by both uncovering what has been and cultivating something new. My intention is to ultimately support clients in creating a more connected and deepened relationship with themselves and their lives. Together, we will sit in the space of exploration creating more awareness of the past and present, empowering you with choice for the journey ahead. I approach healing primarily through the following therapeutic models:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) (working with our thoughts & values), Somatic/body-based therapy (our bodies hold our stories) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy (recognizing we all have different “parts” within us that can be understood and integrated). I am trained in EMDR, often including this evidence-based modality into work with clients.
In incorporating these perspectives, as well as considering the critical role of the nervous system in mental health, I seek to create a holistic experience. As your therapist, I am also your teammate; walking right alongside you as we navigate twists and turns. I look forward to connecting and am deeply honored to accompany you in your story of healing.
my approach —
Body-Based/Nervous System Recovery
A body-based, nervous-system-informed approach recognizes that healing happens not only through insight, but through felt experience. Building awareness of how your nervous system responds supports regulation, resilience, and long-term connection to self.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
This approach recognizes that we all carry multiple inner parts, each with its own role and story. Healing happens as these parts are met with compassion and allowed to soften, integrate, and relate differently within you.
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is an evidence-based modality used to support the processing of past, stuck experiences. The work is carefully, structured, paced and integrated to prioritize safety, regulation, and lasting change.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT emphasizes acceptance, awareness and values-guided living. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or feelings, the focus is on creating space for them while moving toward what feels most aligned.
